The past two weeks have been so great. My lil sis & my niece came to stay with me. We met my sis in Amarillo (8 hour drive for both of us...yay) & then brought the girlies back. I had so much fun. We stayed pretty busy the whole time. Swimming, malling, dressing up, doing hair & nails :-) Last weekend we went to Colorado to go for a hike. I've only been on this trail once- 2 yrs ago- but I didn't think it was too bad. Well my opinion vastly differs from the girls'. We get there & we're all hyped up, ready to go. Nay had little Nay in a snugli on his back & we all had backpacks with food & water. WooHoo- off we go. 10 mins later they are ready for a break! So we're doing okay, hiking along when we come across snow- that's right, there's huge patches of snow in July! Global warming my butt lol- (that last bit is just a funny, I don't wanna hear any grief from anyone- namely Val or Dad) :-) So we are all skating on ice on the side of a frikkin mountain...in JULY! It was crazy...& scary. I think everyone fell. Even Nay, which obviously was bad since the kiddo was strapped to his back, but they were okay. We get through all the snow & I keep thinking we have to be there soon, which is the only thing keeping me from setting up camp for a few hours cuz I am TIRED! Then I turn around & the girls are barely even moving their little legs. Jade keeps on saying "I can't DO this anymore! My legs are too tired. I just wanna go home" :( So we stop & ask the girls if they wanna keep going or if they wanna go home. We did lay a lil guilt trip on em (hey, you would have too) We've already come so far, why go back now, but if they REALLY want too we can just go back to Farm & they won't get to see the top of the mountain. Finally, they reluctantly agree to keep going. Jade got a little teary & then I felt pretty bad. But we kept going & finally got to the big meadow where you can see the top. YAY! So we ate lunch & then are ready to head back down. We're bouncing along (really, going down is SO much better than up) & then Jana just stops & sits down in the middle of the trail balling "I can't walk anymore! I'm so tired." Sounds familiar doesn't it. Unfortunately this was only after about 20 minutes of walking, so we had a good couple hours before we got to the bottom. We finally get her up & calm her down & start dragging her down the mountain. I had to hold her hand (& her backpack) the rest of the way down. Fun for me. Only a couple more meltdowns & we made it. YAY! On the way up I had my little give up moment too, but then once we got back to the car I felt so good. I was proud of myself & I believe I even told Nay we should go hiking more. It must have been all those exercise endorphins talking. I was really proud of the girls. Jana was pretty angry when we got back to the car & didn't talk for a while. Jade said she never wanted to go hiking or see a scrap of snow the rest of her life lol.
We took them back to Amarillo on Saturday :( I've been a little blue all day. I know I have little Naybor (which I love of course) but it was nice having them around all day. It' s not quite as fun window shopping with a 10 month old (I still do it, it's just not as fun) :) The day before we took them back Jade told her mom "I really feel bad for Candyce. When we go she's gonna be ALL BY HERSELF. Nay works a lot & she'll be all alone." Thanks Jade lol. It was funny cuz she told her that while I was sitting next to her & then she looks at me with her lil puppy dog eyes! What a turkey :-)
So now I want 5 or 6 kids so I'll never be alone lol. I think Nay just fainted- haha. Maybe I should just move closer to my fam!

My little man :-)

Here we are at the 4 corners

I love Jade's face in this pic!
